Can’t take part in Race for Life this time? You can still help us change lives by donating to Cancer Research UK instead.

When you donate, we can fund long-term research. And when we fund long-term research, we make breakthroughs that let us prevent, diagnose and treat all 200 types of cancer.

Cancer Research UK don’t receive government funding for our cancer research. Your energy - and your money - powers our life-saving work. Find out more about what your money can do.

Gift Aid your donation

Don’t forget to tick the Gift Aid box on your donation if you are a UK taxpayer. Gift Aid can increase the value of your donation by 25%, meaning that every £1 you donate we can claim an additional 25p from the government – at no additional cost to you.

Please note that if you are donating on behalf of a group, company or someone else, then we cannot claim Gift Aid.

Did you know that you can donate to Race for Life via social media?

Donation tools on Facebook and Instagram make it easy to raise money for Race for Life and help save more lives.

You can ask your friends and family to support Race for Life and donate to our life-saving research via Facebook.

All you need to do is go to ‘Create post’ and select the ‘Support charity’ option from the drop-down menu. Search for ‘Cancer Research UK Race for Life’ and it will add a donate button to your post. Share your reasons for taking part in Race for Life in the post to encourage your friends and family to make a donation.
