How far is 3k?

A race for everyone

And we mean everyone! It takes most people around 35 minutes to walk 3 kilometres (just under 2 miles), that’s less time than you’d spend going around the supermarket. Easy!

People of all ages and abilities can have a go at this accessible distance. And everyone’s a winner - the one thing we’re beating is cancer.

  • Shorter than a walk up and down Southend Pleasure Pier

  • A stroll along the Silver Sands of Morar in Scotland

  • Walking from London Bridge to Covent Garden

  • A walk along Burton Joyce riverside in Nottingham

  • The H.M.Stanley town trail in Denbighshire, Wales

  • Walking from Surbiton to Kingston

  • A walk to your local shops and back

  • Walking around Burrs Country Park in Bury, Greater Manchester
